Hi. My name is Erick, I'm a software engineer who has been working at Accenture for the last two years since graduating from UCI. Before that I did web development at Codazen and mobile development at Experian.
Some of the things I'm proud of over my career have been working on a VR game for those with Autism, won several hackathons in and out of college, and worked in a large variety of environments (agile & waterfall) and technologies (mobile, web, blockchain, & VR).
I'm currently interested in blockchain technology and learning how to make video games (VR related).

Worked as a software engineering consultant on the LRS project for the Los Angeles welfare system doing full-stack web development in Java (Spring) and Oracle SQL Database. Also maintained the DPSS Mobile App and several internal kiosk applications.
Worked on the Experian Credit Tracker App in native Objective-C implementing new features and fixing bugs in an Agile environment.
Worked as a web developer to launch an adoption network crm, create an Ecommerce website for medical supply company, and launch company's new blog. Agile environment.
Lead Mentor teaching middle school students how to build apps and games using MIT's App Inventor platform. Responsible for overseeing group's app development, providing leadership for fellow mentors, and be communication touch point for the schools and Appjam+ Organizers.
Used HTML, CSS with Foundation Framework, Javascript, and Web Design skills to build out pieces of car dealership sites using Orchard CMS as a backend.
Updated the Sanctuary's Website on the Joomla Platform, maintained the grounds, and educated visitors about local Southern California wildlife.
Worked on a proof of concept DAO for a Basketball League run on the blockchain using Colony smart contracts. Github
Created a VR therapy video game / learning experience for those on the autism spectrum to better learn social skills.
Created a flashcard plugin using Google Docs Scripts. A user can create their own set of flashcards on Google Sheets and run the plugin to study on a Material Design based UI.
Created a prototype iOS app called Biogotchi, that is based on the popular toy Tamogotchi. The user's health data would be the inputs for the pet, however, meaning the health of the digital pet depended on the user's daily health habits.
Used Ruby on Rails to create a language learning web application that recommended places to go locally where you could use the language you were learning.
Created a prototype of a teddy bear that could help sense Autism Spectrum Disorder in children. Used a LilyPad Arduino with accelerometers and Processing for data output. Blog Posts and notes can be found here.
